
2023 CAPE BLANCO HERITAGE SOCIETY EVENTS
- Opening Day: May 1 (Cape Blanco Lighthouse, Hughes House and Port Orford Lifeboat Station Museum). Open until Closing Day from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, every day except Tuesday (All 3 locations, if we have sufficient volunteers).
- CBHS Board Meetings: Port Orford City Hall Chambers at 10:00 AM (open to everyone): 2nd Tuesday each month.
- Closing Day: September 30 (Hughes House and Port Orford Lifeboat Station Museum); October 31 (Cape Blanco Lighthouse). 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Annual Membership Meeting: time/place to be announced (open to everyone).
- Christmas Bazaar: Community Building, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, First weekend in December.
- Annual Events: State Parks Day (First Saturday in June), July 4th Jubilee, Coast Guard Day/Concert in the Park (August), Hughes House Christmas (December).

- 100 Years of Oregon State Parks — Our State Parks Day in 2022 was a joint celebration of 100 Years of Oregon State Parks and 150 Years of the Cape Blanco Lighthouse — [Download 2022 Flyer].
- July 4th Jubilee: All three locations are open on this day. Our annual tradition, the Jerry Can Races, is held in Port Orford Heads State Park. Prizes awarded to first and second place winners! — [Download 2022 Press Release].
- Coast Guard Day (& Lighthouse Day) Concert in the Park: In 2022, our annual picnic and concert on the lawn of the Lifeboat Station Museum coincided with Lighthouse Day. Traditionally held in Port Orford Heads State Park. Come enjoy food, friends and local music — [Download 2022 Press Release].
- Hughes House Christmas: Our theme for 2022, “Christmas Memories at Grandma’s House“, suggested a child’s point of view; stockings stuffed with goodies, dolls , train sets, tricycles, building blocks and mysterious packages in Holiday wrappings.
